The
approach I take to teaching and learning is mainly sustained by the The
Communicative Approach where students use L2 for communicating. Offering students instances where they find
videos, songs, role plays, interviews, art, games and technology among others
motivates and implicates them in real communication.
ClIL is
another approach I use in higher levels because gives us the opportunity to
focus on the content of the subject, what creates interest in our students for
using language to learn and explore about specific information.
It’s always
necessary to take in mind the context where our teaching is taking place and we
can also take other approaches like TBL, or mix activities from different
approaches.
